During the next few days, the domain address of my online art shop will change from art-by-manuel.com to manuello.art following the slow rebranding I started with adding the artist name ‘Manuello’ to my name in summer 2020.
There may be some hick-ups or targetless links on the website. I apologize in advance for any inconveniences as it may takes a few days to check the internal links on all sites of my website.
Thanks & Merry Christmas
Enjoy my YouTube video series «Im Kunstatelier mit Manuello» and gain an insight into my artistic work. I my short videos I talk about my paintings, my thoughts about my work and other interesting topics regarding my art. You will even get a look behind the scenes of my art studio. Please note, my videos are mostly in Swiss German. Find out more about my YouTube video series in the following short video:
I used my blue and white colour palette that has its origins even before my "famous" painting Babykauz (2009) to create my painting no. 846 Gegen den Wind II. Overall, I painted more than 30 layers of blue and white acrylic colours.
The Milan who spreads his wings and is flying up in the sky in my painting no. 846 is not only painted but also modelled with grainy modelling paste. Thanks to that, the colour didn’t stick to the bird in the same way as it sticked to rest of the surface.
Back to the roots: I painted my second Milan on wood, like most of my paintings from 2008 till 2012. 2013 I switched to stretched canvas. My painting no. 844 Sommer (2020) will be my last painting on stretched canvas for some time.
You may wondered why I didn’t paint that much during the past three years. Now then, I went back to school and got my degree as Bachelor of Science Hochschule Luzern/FHZ in Business Administration with Specialisation in Controlling & Accounting :). It was quite a big step for me, but I am happy that I took it :).

A: At the top of the page “paintings” you will find various product filters. One of them is called “exhibitions” where you can filter my paintings by exhibition. Click on the exhibition you visited; it will show you the available paintings of the selected exhibition.
If a painting is missing it is due to one of the following two reasons: I already sold the painting, or the painting wasn’t yet added to the online shop.
Please feel free to contact me. I will gladly help you to find the painting you liked.
After finishing and publishing his second novel in 2018, Manuel returned to creating paintings in 2019. He painted dance, bird and abstract paintings. His abstract emotional paintings were a step back to his roots. Back then he painted and exhibited mostly such paintings.
Besides the work in his art studio Manuel continued his studies BSc in business administration at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
2019 Manuel Süess created 17 paintings. His artworks were shown in his art studio to interested visitors and clients.
